This is the place where history isn't just read-It's shared. We hope that all of our products help spark memories and conversations. There are so many things that we can relay to our younger generations and so many times that seeing thing bring back cherished memories.
If you've landed here, you probably know our main site, I'm Seriously Old School & More. We love all things vintage, nostalgic, and built to last. But this space, The Seriously Old School Chronicle, is about more than just great products-it's about the stories that make them meaningful.
Why a Blog? Why Now?
We all have moments that feel like they belong to a different era. Maybe it's the smell of your grandmother's kitchen, the memory of waiting by the landline phone or dialing the rotary phone. Or maybe the first time you saw a certain movie.
Our mission here is simple: to start conversations that help bridge the gap between generations.
In a world that moves faster every day, we want to hit the pause button and listen. We want to hear your recollections, your funny mishaps, your profound life lessons, and even your thoughts on how the "good old days" were and weren't always so good! We all have had those times when we have wished that we could just do that one more time!
What You'll find Here:
- Your Stories: We'll feature memories and thoughts submitted by you.
- Generational Gaps: We'll spark discussions by comparing technology, fashion traditions, and slang from different decades.
- The "Why": We'll explore the history behind the history behind the kind of classic items we feature on the I'm Seriously Old School website.
- Tips for Sharing: Ideas on how to talk to the younger generation about your own history.
A Call to Action: Your First Assignment!
We can't do this without you. This is your space to remember, reflect and teach.
For your first comment, tell us:
What is one seriously "old school" memory you have that you absolutely cannot wait to share with someone younger?
We're so excited to have you join this journey sown memory lane. Grab a cup of coffee (preferably in one of our mugs), settle in, and let's get going!

When I was young, we would go to Independence to visit my grandparents. We would go to the movie theater and go in for a quarter. Had a wonderful!!!!
I remember going to the local roller skating rink every weekend. We would skate to music of the time then go next door to have pizza!!
My grandmother would take us to the movies every Friday and Sunday night because the movie changed on Sundays.
I remember hanging out in my dorm room closet talking on the landline phone with a seriously long cord just to have a private conversation. It worked!
